Schedule and Chore Chart
Task Lists
I have been working on creating detailed schedules with
chores, personal hygiene and homeschooling tasks for my
children. The more I break the details of life down into
"doable" parts, the more successful my children will be. The
following schedules and charts are what I have come up with
so far. Since I am a homeschooler, I have geared these charts
toward incorporating homeschooling tasks.
How to use the Schedule: Print out a blank chore chart for your child. Homeschoolers may use this Blank Chore Chart which includes space for 5 subjects.
Record your child's scheduled activities in the available
place to help them keep track of those responsibilities. Fill
in chores and tasks that your child does each weekday.
Keep Schedule and Task Lists on a clipboard. Your child can
then carry their clipboard around as they do their
chores/school work and have a step-by-step description of
what is expected of them. Your child should place a check
mark, a motivation sticker or any other mark you desire in
each box and circle the day of the week they have completed
tasks with M T W TH F. Permission is granted to print out and
copy for your own personal use only.

Task Lists
I have found
that if I break each chore or school subject down into
smaller parts, it helps to keep my children on track. These
directions are placed on child's clipboard under schedule to
refer to as needed. These are just examples of the chores and
summer school assignments for my children. Your children will
have their own chores appropriate to their ages and
abilities. Use Notepad or any word processor to create your
own Task Lists for your children. For pre-readers, you can
use clip art to illustrate the task.
