Christian ADHD Alternative Treatment List
"Therefore,
encourage one another and build each other up,
just as in fact you have
been doing."
1 Thessalonians 5:11
The Christian ADHD Alternative Treatment List's membership is by
approval only, to maintain the privacy of its members and create a
safe environment for Christian adults and parents to discuss their
experiences with ADD/ADHD.
Description
The Christian ADHD Alternative Treatment List is for parents and
adults who are uncomfortable with, and who have decided not to use,
pharmaceuticals in the treatment of their or their children's
ADD/ADHD. It is a safe place to be non-medicated. The focus of the
list is discussing and sharing about the many alternative treatments
available for ADHD with prayer and crisis support. Discussions on the
merits of medicating vs. nonmedicating will not be allowed. If you
need information on the different medical treatments for ADHD, see
Christian ADHD List.
Additionally, the list is a place to encourage one another as we
face the many challenges of raising special children or daily dealing
with the challenges of being "ADD", providing emotional and
spiritual support as brothers and sisters in Christ. We pray for one
another as needs and challenges arise in our lives.
Topics discussed include (but definitely are not limited to):
- Diagnosis
- Co-existing conditions
- Nutritional supplements
- Diets
- Relationships
- Work challenges
- School choices and methods
- Discipline
- Chores
- Behavior
- Extracurricular activities
- Parenting problems and solutions
- Family difficulties
- Siblings
- ADHD resources
- Prayer and Scriptures for encouragement
